Minds of Babes: Chicago’s Premier Modern Rock Band (1995-1998)

Featuring Morty Shallman on Vocals, Danny Shaffer on Guitar, Tad Devlin on Bass, and Scott Bennett on Drums, Minds of Babes was, for a brief, shining moment in time, the premier modern rock band on the Chicago scene. Featured on local radio, in the Chicago Reader, and performing at clubs from the Double Door to Thurston’s, Minds of Babes were known for their sophisticated and catchy alt-rock songcraft, stellar musicianship, and for sounding as great live as they did on record. Minds of Babes released one EP in 1996 called “Imaginary Eye” and have a full length album’s worth of material in the can they plan to release in the near future.
